
Kok Ching ONG has been in the telecommunications industry for 15 years. He joined M1 in 1996 as a capacity planner of the GSM Radio Access Network. Owing to the increasing importance of cellular backhaul, he currently heads Transmission Planning in the nationwide rollout of fibre and wireless transmission networks; as well as the implementation of UTRAN equipment to support both the 2G and 3.5G networks. He is actively involved in optimizing cellular backhaul traffic and connectivity to submarine cables.
