Vice President, International Carrier Services – Worldwide
In this role, Diarmid is directly responsible for driving the transformation agenda in our wholesale/carrier business across all geographies around the world, excluding the UK.
Diarmid Massey has been working in the international telecommunications industry since 1984 — with both service provider and equipment vendor organisations.
Having worked for over 24 years in the telecommunications business and with over 14 years of experience working in Asia Pacific, Diarmid is a widely-regarded industry veteran in the region.
In 1995 he moved to Singapore from New Zealand, and since then has had regional management roles with Atlas Telecom, ITXC Corp, NexTone and Vanco. Prior to 1995, Diarmid worked with companies including BT, New Zealand Telecom and New Zealand Post.
An early employee of ITXC in 1998, Diarmid was responsible for establishing and growing ITXC in the Asia/Pacific region, and building and expanding their relationships with major telecommunications service providers. ITXC subsequently listed on Nasdaq and was the world’s largest international VoIP carrier prior to acquisition by Teleglobe in 2004, at which time Diarmid joined NexTone.
Prior to joining Cable&Wireless in May 2008, Diarmid was Asia CEO for Vanco, a Global Virtual Network Operator providing solutions to global MNCs.
