Deng Xiaoqiang is an expert in Optical Transport technologies, Ethernet, MPLS, and network transformation. He has been directly involved in all aspects of product development as System Engineer, global Product Manager in WDM, and aggregation product line manager, engaged in requirements definition, system architecture, embedded software, product life cycle management, standardization processes, market validation, and customer engagement.

Deng Xiaoqiang holds several patents in the areas of OCH/OMSP ring protection and fibre optical protection.  He is active in industry standardization organizations, such as MEF.
